Nectarine & blueberry crumble

This nectarine and blueberry crumble is the perfect summer dessert. The best  combination of sweet and sour. For extra flavour add your favourite ice-cream!

  • 5-6 medium sized nectarines

  • 100-125g blueberry

  • Juice from ½ lemon

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp. all purpose flour


  • 1/4 cup oats

  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon (optional)

  • 60g butter, chilled and into cubes

  • Handful chopped almonds (optional)


  1. Turn on the oven to 180°C

  2. Combine all the ingredients for the filling in a baking dish

  3. In another bowl, combine all the ingredients for the crumble and lastly add the butter cubes

  4. It’s easier to use your hands to knead the ingredients together (butter and crumble) 

  5. After this take the baking dish with the filling and cover it in the crumble mixture

  6. Bake for around 40-45 minutes until it has become golden brown

  7. Serve with some vanilla ice cream
