Potato Rösti

This delicious Rösti is a Swiss potato dish perhaps best described as a cross between hash browns and a potato pancake. It is very crispy and tasty! 

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes 1 kg

  • Rosemary a small handful

  • Salt a pinch

  • Pepper a pinch

  • Chickpea flour 2-4 tbsp (other kinds of flour will work as well)

  • Oil for frying

 

Instructions:

  1. Peel all potatoes and grate them on the bigger side of your grater.

  2. Remove any excess water from the grated potatoes and mix with chopped rosemary, salt, pepper and 2 tbsp of chickpea flour. If the mixture can shape Rösti’s without falling apart then it's ready. If not add more flour.

  3. Shape Rösti and fry them in a good amount of oil on a pan. Serve as a side dish or top them with your favourite toppings.
