Mmmmhh.. Extra crunchy, right?

That’s because fresh, crunchy and organic cucumbers from Eat Grim are anything but normal. They’re not always straight, which is required by supermarkets in order for them to sell it.

And as a consumer you would definitely avoid the veggie shelf, if they had cucumbers like these lying around, right?
This is just one of the many reasons why good cucumbers are being wasted daily.

Can you taste the difference?

Surely Hanna can, who sows and harvests fruit and veg on a daily basis as a farmer at Seerupgaard in Amager - one of the many organic farms we get our produce from. This way she’s contributing to the difference herself.

By shortening the food supply chain and reconnecting our customers with the people who grow and tend to their food, we can ensure that the money you pay ends up in the right pockets - the farmer’s. Not making big corporations richer.

Mmmmhh.. Extra juicy, right?

Fresh, juicy and organic oranges from Eat Grim are anything but normal. At least not if you ask your local supermarket who would refuse to sell this delicious kind due to a few spots on the peel.

We all know that has a huge impact on the content within, right?
This is just one of the many reasons why good oranges are being wasted daily.

Can you taste the difference?

Surely Triston can, who pushes the pedals daily as a courier for our sustainable delivery partner Chainge - delivering Eat Grim boxes directly to our many Grimlings in the city. This way he’s contributing to the difference himself.

By using electric bikes, we are able to deliver faster and decrease CO2 emissions and the amount of harmful particles in the air by 90-95% compared to a normal van delivery. Win-win.

Mmmmhh.. Extra sweet, right?

Well, fresh, sweet and organic plums from Eat Grim are anything but normal. At least not if you ask the supermarkets. They refuse to show you these in the store because they’ve got a few scars.

And we all know that a few scratches on the surface ruins the juicy insides, right?
This is just one of the many reasons why good plums are being wasted daily.

Can you taste the difference?

Surely Flor can, who’s checking the quality of our produce every week and making sure that everything we put in the box is fresh and delicious before it’s packed. This way she’s contributing to the difference herself.

All our boxes are made from 66% recycled and 33% virgin fiber from FSC certified sources in Sweden. This way we have reduced our use of plastic wrapping by 100% and also ensured that the boxes can later be given new life in another form.

Mmmmhh.. Extra fresh, right?

Well, fresh, juicy and organic pears from Eat Grim are anything but normal. At least not according to your local supermarket. They forbid you to buy these simply because of small bruises on the skin.

And as we all know a few bumps on the road will radically change the flavour of a fruit, right?

This is just one of the many reasons why good pears are being wasted daily.

Can you taste the difference?

Surely Emma can, who’s answering our customer support phone daily, ensuring that our Grimlings get all their questions answered and the right help if something in their box is not quite right.

She was also a customer before she joined the team, so she has been contributing to the difference for a long time now.

Mmmmhh.. Extra slurpy right?

Well, fresh, juicy and organic watermelons from Eat Grim are anything but normal. They are in fact too small for the supermarket to even put them on the shelf.

Cause you would rather have no watermelon than a cute one like this, right?

This is just one of the many reasons why good watermelons are being wasted daily.

Can you taste the difference?

Surely Helene can, who’s inspiring our Grimlings every week with delicious and easy recipes that fit our boxes. All from her food universe, @eatrealbereal.

We believe that basic kitchen skills are crucial in the sustainable kitchen. Crushing food waste should be fun and tasty - with a pinch of inspiration from our community of Eat Grim chefs.
