YOU HAVE UGLY BOXES, AARHUS

Did you know that if food waste was a country, it’d be the number 3 global greenhouse gas emitter? EAT GRIM fights food waste by offering subscription boxes with organic fruits and vegetables that because of their looks can’t be sold in the supermarkets, and now you have the possibility of buying the 100% organic, fresh and sometimes ugly and overproduced vegetables in boxes, Aarhus.

LET'S DESTROY THE PLANET

1 out of 3 pieces of fruits and vegetables grown are wasted long before they even reach the consumer, because of the unfair beauty standards that are forced upon them. This means that if a cucumber is crooked, or an apple too small, it can’t be sold in the supermarket. Globally, food waste stands for 6% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions, and the elimination of food waste is said to be the 3rd most impactful solution to climate change. So Aarhus, let’s do something about the grotesque food waste before we ruin the planet!

Since 2018 we have saved 400.9 tonnes of food together.

We buy the wonky vegetables that organic and biodynamic farms normally can’t sell, for a fair price of course, and make them into delicious vegetable boxes that we deliver straight to your door or a pick up spot nearby. This is how we feed more people, without tormenting the soil by increasing the food production and also make sure that the organic farmers are paid for their hard work. That’s good for the environment, the organic farms and for you.

WE LOVE FOOD WASTE

We all wish to take responsibility for, and reflect more about the reality that we’re a part of, and one of the most important parameters in life is to not be controlled by our first impression. It of course counts in the meeting with other people, but actually also when doing our daily grocery shopping.

Now, together with Aarhus, we’re disrupting the structural injustices that exist in the world around us. We celebrate food in all it’s weird and wonky shapes and colours. Because look at that weird apple, funky orange and ugly cucumber - how liberating!

Aarhus, let's be frontrunners, when it comes to fighting food waste and get your veggies from EAT GRIM now and then.
